About

Soyeon Park is a Korean ceramic artist based in Toronto, Canada. Her practice centres on the relationship between proportion, silhouette, and visual balance. Through an intuitive process of making and refinement, she explores how variations in volume and curvature influence the balance and overall presence of each piece.

Her approach to surface involves repeated layering and removal of materials. She considers how texture interacts with form, while allowing the marks of making and changes that occur during firing to contribute to the final work.

Dojagi Archive is Park’s ceramic studio and an evolving archive documenting her ongoing practice. Derived from the Korean word “dojagi” (도자기), meaning ceramics, the name reflects both the medium and the continued development of her work.

Dojagi Archive
